Center for Latin American and Latinx Studies Congratulations to Leticia Marteleto, the Presidential Penn Compact Professor of Sociology, who is affiliated with the Center for Latin American and Latinx Studies (CLALS), and Luiz Sereno of the Population Studies Center. They were awarded the Distinguished Contribution to Scholarship in Population Award from the Population Section of the American Sociological Association for their 2025 paper “Who Can Have a Baby?
