CLALS Visiting Scholar Program (Unpaid)

Center for Latin American and Latinx Studies (CLALS)

Unpaid Visiting Scholar Overview

The CLALS unpaid visiting scholar position offers faculty, scholars, and practitioners in the field of Latin America and Latinx Studies an opportunity to advance their research through interactions with faculty, staff, and students at the University of Pennsylvania and by having access to the university’s libraries, CLALS programming, and various other resources on the Penn campus.  A major criterion for being selected as a CLALS unpaid visiting scholar is to have a member of our standing faculty serve as a liaison and research collaborator.

The unpaid visiting scholar position at the Center for Latin American and Latinx Studies is very competitive as only a few are awarded the designation each year.  The quality and breadth of research, publications, as well as proposed collaboration with the faculty recommender and other Penn faculty will be seriously considered during the application process.

Applications are considered on a rolling basis.
