Yenifer Garcia Bermudez (she/her)

Yenifer Garcia Bermudez a first-generation undergraduate student from the Bay Area in California, pursuing a bachelor's degree in Law & Society and Latin American & Latinx Studies with minors in Legal Studies & History and Africana Studies. During her time at Penn she’s worked with the broader Latinx community in Philadelphia through non-profits like CCATEandAspira,supportinginitiativesfocusedoneducationalequity.Shealsostudiedabroad in Havana, Cuba, conducted educational research in Guadalajara, Mexico, and is currently workingwiththeOrganizationofAmericanStates(OAS)onissuesrelatedtoacademicfreedom. The Center of Latin American & Latinx studies (CLALS) has been a pillar of guidance and support throughout her academic and professional development, encouraging students to pursue meaningful research and community engagement.
