4PM - Special panel discussion on Democracy in Latin America Today - Successes and Challenges (McNeil 403)
In this diverse hybrid panel, political scientists with different approaches discuss the successes and challenges of democracy today in Latin America. They speak from various countries in Latin America and touch on different aspects that affect democracy, including but not limited to energy transitions, environmental degradation, racial and Indigenous politics, populism, electoral politics, and activism. How are these issues affecting the trajectories of democracy in Latin America? What are some successes and key challenges they pose?
