Join us for the opening reception of Manual 4: De la Tierra a Estrella, an art installation by Sachs grant recipient José Ortiz-Pagán.

José Ortiz-Pagán developed an art installation during a months-long residency, exploring the journeys of migrants through the metaphor of a poetic talisman. This piece envisions a future where migration becomes an essential lens for rethinking life and its assumptions. Collaborating with youth from CCATE, Ortiz-Pagán engaged participants through custom-designed games, art workshops, and discussions. The resulting installation reflects the origins of global geographical transitions, emphasizing cultural practices that protect the fundamental right to exist beyond borders.
