Tulia Falleti, professor of political science and former and founding director of CLALS, won the 2026 Martha Derthick Book Award for her book Decentralization and Subnational Politics in Latin America (2012) from Cambridge University Press and Assessment. The American Political Science Association Section on Federalism and Intergovernmental Relations chose Professor Falleti's book as "the best book published at least 10 years ago that has made a lasting contribution to the study of federalism and intergovernmental relations."
