The José Miguel Oviedo Undergraduate Student Paper Award in Latin American and Latinx Studies

Submissions due March 22, 2024 by 12:00pm (noon). 

The José Miguel Oviedo Undergraduate Student Paper Award is given annually to the best paper in Latin American and Latinx Studies written by an undergraduate student at the University of Pennsylvania. The prize honors the scholarly tradition of a recognized critic of Latin American literature and Professor in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese Studies at Penn.

Submissions for the 2024 Award are due March 22, 2024.  The submission must be a single-authored paper written while the student is still in an undergraduate program at Penn.  The prize, including a cash award, will be announced in April.  If you have any questions, please reach out to clals-upenn@sas.upenn.edu.
